Yes they are great. Moderate protection and plenty of gear to carry with. I want to get myself a CIRAS someday.

Yeah and they're used by the Force Recon and MARSOC boys. Though something I'm definitely considering is this new flak jacket I don't remember the name of and can't find the site it was on. But it utilizes a quick detach system that just let's the sides unhook rather than using an emergency release lanyard. Also it has a built in flotation compartment.

Oh hell yeah on that. It's like the damn thing was made from Chuck Norris' beard clippings XD Good thing about Military and Law Enforcement, we can buy our own body armor.
